Courchevel - one of the best and most popular ski resort in the world.
Courchevel is one of world’s best and most popular ski resorts. Located in the Northern Alps and part of the 3 Valleys (Les Trois Vallées)  ski area with 300 pistes spread over 600 kilometers, the Courchevel resort deserves its international fame. Courchevel attracts everyone, including a select clientele of VIPs, wealthy people and royal families like Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Beckhams, Christina Aguilera, Geri Halliwell, Lionel Richie, the Saudi royal family, Robbie Williams, George Clooney, Giorgio Armani, the King of Morocco and many others.

This unusual ski resort brings together 5 charming villages at different altitudes (from 1,100 to 1,850 meters), which are very well connected by public transport and to the slopes: Saint-Bon, Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850.
During the 2011-2012 season, Courchevel rebranded, changing the names of each village in a move away from its association with altitude:
Saint-Bon - has been renamed Courchevel Saint-Bon. The village of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise is the capital of the commune with the town hall and the birthplace of Courchevel. It is located at an average altitude of 1,100 m. It is not a village resort as far as there is no ski lift in this area, but the village is connected to the mountain stations by free shuttles.

Courchevel 1300 - has been renamed Le Praz - an authentic mountain village with traditional chalets, attractive narrow streets and lots of charm. Le Praz is located at an average altitude of 1,300 metres on a plateau at the foot of the forest and facing north. On site, there is a lake for fishing in the summer. Le Praz is also an ideal location to start your cycling tours of the Alps and horse riding.

Courchevel 1550 - has been renamed Courchevel Village

Courchevel 1650 - renamed Courchevel Moriand enjoys a great location close to the surrounding green and blue ski runs.

Courchevel 1850 - one of the most prestigious resorts in the world is now simply Courchevel. It’s set in the forest and is characterized by its large, stylish chalet-style buildings and also by its many exclusive establishments.
From the beginning to the end of the season, you can enjoy the best snow conditions, thanks to the 563 snow cannons and the 26 grooming machines that ensure the preparation and maintenance of the 119 runways in the Courchevel valley.
On the mountain you'll find a wide variety of pistes, for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers alike. With free lifts operating on the beginner slopes, a huge range of intermediate slopes and steep north facing expert terrain, it’s a skiers and boarders paradise.
Courchevel has a lot to offer for entertainment, including: a bowling alley, Olympic skating rink, a cinema, indoor climbing wall, a relaxing sleigh ride and more.

This area is also a popular destination during the summer. There is a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including: hiking, climbing, mountain biking, hot air balloon riding over the Alps, and a 9-hole golf course. Also guests can take advantage of opportunities such as:  canyoning, rafting, paragliding, paintball and fishing. You can even try your hand at popular cooking courses, some of which are run by Michelin starred chefs.
